In a testament to their enduring popularity on Manchester’s thriving dining scene, Peter Street Kitchen has won ‘Best Culinary Experience’ at the British Restaurant Awards 2022. British Restaurant Awards (BRA) is an annual awards ceremony which provides an opportunity for customers to nominate and vote for their Best Restaurants, Chefs and culinary service in the UK.
After receiving the most nominations earlier this year for the Best Culinary Experience category, ahead of the many other excellent restaurants in Manchester, Peter Street Kitchen was shortlisted for the award that was to be voted by the public and presented in September 2022.
Facing fierce competition, Peter Street Kitchen was voted to win the award ahead of a selection of renowned restaurants from across the UK, including London restaurants Le Gavroche and Sycamore Vino Cucina, and The Ivy Asia in Guildford.
Set in a stunning Grade II*-listed building, Manchester’s iconic Free Trade Hall, Peter Street Kitchen captures an atmosphere of timelessness with a careful restoration of the historic site and infusion of modern art design. The dining concept features a decadent selection of Japanese izakaya dishes and Mexican cuisine, including Japanese A5 Wagyu and Yellowfin tuna sashimi ribbons, kohlrabi salad and shiso soy, as well as selections from La Parilla (the Mexican Grill).
A full menu enhancement was introduced in the summer of 2022, as well as a residency by Whispering Angel from renowned rosé winemakers Château d’Esclans.
“Ever since winning the ‘Best Luxury Restaurant’ accolade in 2019, our culinary team has been working tirelessly to enhance Peter Street Kitchen’s dining experience even further. We are humbled that these developments have been enjoyed by guests and critics alike, and we would like to thank everyone for their continued support,” says Amir Jati, Service Excellence Director at Edwardian Hotels London, owners of Peter Street Kitchen.
Adding to The Kitchens’ culinary trophy collection, the ‘Best Culinary Experience’ award will further strengthen Peter Street Kitchen’s indisputable position on Manchester’s dining scene.
