Tatton Park is delighted to re-open the Farm from Wednesday 8 July and the Mansion from 15 July, thanks to the continued easing of lockdown restrictions.
Free chocolate* for children
We’ll be giving away free chocolate to children as a welcome-back treat! The chocolate was ready for Tatton Park’s Easter weekend activities, which were cancelled due to lockdown, but at least it makes our re-opening for summer even-sweeter and more of a celebration. Bags of chocolates will be given to customers at The Stables Restaurant and visitors at Gardens, Farm and Mansion for as long as stocks last.

Book online for Tatton Park’s attractions
If you wish to visit the Farm, Mansion or Gardens, please book online first at tattonpark.org.uk, where you can buy tickets and pre-book a timeslot. This new way of managing visitor numbers throughout the day has worked well for the Gardens, so the same process is in place for re-opening the Farm and Mansion. As most of us have experienced out and about since the easing of lockdown, you just need to book in advance of your visit. A combination of pre-booking, timed entry slots and one-way routes where needed, means more of Tatton Park can be enjoyed this summer.
You’ll be just in time to see new arrivals at the Farm
Mother Nature didn’t take a break during lockdown. Since 21 March, the Farm has welcomed no fewer than 38 lambs, one pedigree Jersey calf, 18 piglets and numerous chicks. “It’s been strange not sharing Easter and lambing season with visitors this year, but the animals have kept us busy” says Farm Manager Jayne Chapman. “And there are more new arrivals on the way! Summer is a great time to visit the Farm as Molly, our very rare Middle White pig, is expecting a litter of pure bred piglets on the 17 July. We also have 10 Red Poll cows starting to calve any day, so visitors have plenty of new arrivals to see. Staff can’t wait to welcome people back to the Farm and I think even the donkeys will be braying with excitement.”
It’s been a long wait since Christmas at the Mansion
“Six months is a long time!” says Carolyn Latham, Mansion & Collections Manager at Tatton Park. “The last time visitors walked through our doors it was decorated for Christmas, so to finally open on 15 July is just wonderful. A carefully-planned and marked route will take visitors around the Mansion, including State Rooms and Servants Quarters, as well as our new exhibitions for 2020, which we’re so pleased to finally share with people.” All exhibitions are included with a Mansion entry ticket.

The 'We’re Good To Go’ COVID-19 industry standard and consumer mark provides a ‘ring of confidence’ for businesses, attractions and destinations as well as reassurance to local residents and visitors that clear processes are in place and that Tatton Park is good to go.
