The season of warmer attires, falling leaves, pumpkin patches, Halloween, and crisp autumnal walks has finally arrived. 

Here’s what you can get stuck into this Autumn in and around Greater Manchester:

Visit a pumpkin patch this season and grab the perfect pumpkin to carve into this Halloween.

What better way to start your weekend than by nipping into La Chouquette in Didsbury for a pastry or coffee and then heading next door to Fletcher Moss Gardens for a nice autumnal walk. Dogs are welcome and we’ve heard the autumnal colours are brilliant at the moment!  

Take part in the GM Ringway Walking Trail this autumn! Delve into this 300-km walking trail that connects Greater Manchester's residents and visitors with the city region's fantastic countryside and heritage. 

There’s 20 linear and 10 shorter circular walks to choose from and the trail is split into 20 stages, exploring the landscapes of all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. The trail is also linked by public transport, as each linear stage is designed to start and finish at a tram, train or bus stop, making it easy to access from anywhere in the city-region. 

Tatton Park is a stunning historic estate located in the heart of Cheshire. The estate spans over 1,000 acres of parkland, featuring 50 acres of beautiful gardens, a working farm, deer, and much more. They also have their own Pumpkin Patch running over at the farm so be sure to visit them this Autumn. 

Nestled between the vibrant city of Manchester and the beginnings of rural Cheshire, Dunham Massey includes a 300-acre deer park, a historic house and buildings, and all-season gardens. If you’re looking for the perfect picturesque spot this crisp wintery season, look no further.  

Additionally, if you are looking for something different to do book onto Blooms and Bicycles Manchester Floral Bicycle Tour, cycle round the city and take in the changing season this Autumn. The tour takes around 3 hours and at the end you’ll get to keep your front basket flower posies as a keepsake to remember the day.  

You can also take part in their Cycle Adventures this Halloween and stop off at one of the following pumpkin patches: Dunham Pumpkins, High Leigh Pumpkin Farm, Brookheys Farm, Red House Farm or Ash Farm.

The region has a jam-packed schedule this season with annual events such as Oktoberfest and Halloween in the City taking place, to more chilling experiences that are guaranteed to leave you spooked.  

Halloween in the City returns once again so expect to see pumpkin lanterns across the city and look out as the legendary MCR Monsters are back, taking over the city’s streets and rooftops.
