The Eagle and Child is an award winning gastropub dedicated to serving the finest locally sourced and seasonal produce; including home-grown vegetables and fresh hen’s eggs from their 'Incredible Edible Beer Garden.' Located in the heart of Ramsbottom town, Levanter Fine Foods has rapidly developed in to one of the finest taps bars in the North of England and recent winner of Neighbourhood Restaurant of The Year in the Manchester Food and Drink Awards 2016. The small and friendly bar and deli, run by a husband and wife team serve authentic Spanish tapas dishes and seasonal specials alongside a variety of delicious wines and Sherries. Slattery is an award winning confectioners and chocolatiers situated in Whitefield. This family company has almost 200 years combined knowledge and expertise in creating hand-made chocolates, tortes, tarts, pastries, and intricate wedding cakes. Located in an imposing, three storey Victorian building which includes a wedding cake showroom and a shop where you can watch the chocolatiers and cake decorators at work, creating the latest bespoke creation. Also on the first floor there is Masons, a busy dining room serving meals from breakfast to dinner with the usual cakes and chocolate on offer too.
The Hearth of the Ram – Ramsbottom
This stylish bar and restaurant is housed in a beautifully renovated 200 year old building in the centre of Ramsbottom, which carefully incorporates period features such as its open fireplaces (or ‘hearths’) against a contemporary backdrop. A Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient and member of the Good Food Guide since 2013, the kitchen team consistently produce imaginative, contemporary British cooking with an emphasis on local sourcing and seasonality. The daily changing menu is accompanied by a skilfully assembled wine list and a great selection of craft and cask ales.
The Clarence is a pub, restaurant and brewery all in one; located in a beautifully restored Victorian pub building spread over four floors in Bury town centre. The award winning restaurant on the first floor is led by Chef Liam Rutherford who showcases the very best of Lancashire and British produce, with seasonal changing menus, delivering both pub staples and inventively refined dishes. Down in the basement there is Silver Street Brewery, run by head brewer Craig Adams crafting celebrated ales that you can happily sample in the pub above.
