FRAMELESS: Stories – Brought to Life

Experience an innovative immersive digital exhibition created by FRAMELESS in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery. This event brings portraits of influential historical figures to life, using cutting-edge projection technology and Hollywood-style visual effects. Featured personalities include Elizabeth I, Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, Emmeline Pankhurst, and William Shakespeare.

UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival

The UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is one of the largest cultural events in the region, organized by the Xinhua Chinese Association (XCA). This annual festival features dragon boat racing, cultural performances, and authentic Chinese cuisine, making it a highlight of the summer.

Women’s Rugby World Cup

Salford will be one of the host cities for the Women’s Rugby World Cup, welcoming top international teams for this prestigious tournament. Further demand is expected for England’s sporting event of the year, with fans recommended to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment. Lowry is marking its 25th anniversary with LOWRY 360, a free immersive experience that brings L.S. Lowry’s Going to the Match to life. Created with Layers of Reality and funded by The Law Family Charitable Foundation, it’s designed to make art more accessible.

The celebrations also include Gods of Salford, a theatre production featuring young local talent, a Quentin Blake exhibition, a mural by Camille Walala, and a talk by Jeanette Winterson. Other highlights range from a new production of Dear England to a community showcase and an Artists Assembly, all celebrating 25 years of creativity in Salford.
