So, it’s great that there are many different ways to show them what they mean to you this Mothering Sunday across the city-region. Whether you’re celebrating a foodie, a craft lover or someone who loves a spot of luxury this Mother’s Day, we’ve rounded up some of the best events and packages across the region to give them a day that is truly memorable.

Learn to cook a Glazed Seitan Roast, Hassleback Potatoes, Roasted Onion, Apple, and Sage Stuffing and Rich Gravy. The expert tutors will guide you both through creating a sumptuous vegan roast before you devour it in the informal kitchen setting, because what’s the fun in cooking if you don’t get to eat it? But it gets better! The team at the Vegetarian Society Cooking School will even take care of the washing up, while you take home some delicious handmade chocolate truffles. Mother’s Day falls in the stunning springtime, so what could be a better way to celebrate than taking in the beautiful blooms and getting back to nature? Plus, they’re now offering a decadent afternoon tea in the Gardener’s Cottage tea room with freshly made sandwiches, mini cakes, scones and specially blended tea. 7. Puppy Yoga 

Do you know a lovely lady that happens to love dogs? Whether she’s a dog mum herself or just adores four-legged friends, we’ve found the ultimate Mother’s Day experience. On Sunday 19th March, Paw Yoga is inviting you and your mother, mother figure, or loved one to celebrate Mother's Day at a puppy yoga Mother’s Day special. Stretch out your worries with 30 minutes of yoga, with puppies roaming around, and then enjoy 30 minutes of playtime with a special playlist designed especially for Mother’s Day. Sessions will run at 1 pm and 2 pm on Sunday 19 March.  

8. Mother’s Day at Zouk  

Treat your mum or mother figure to a feast this Mother’s Day at Zouk. Join Zouk for a special mouth-watering Sunday Roast with an Indian twist, and save mum the washing up. This Mothering Sunday Zouk is offering a welcome drink on the house and a delicious boxed cupcake for all mother figures to take home. There will also be a stunning flower display to mark the occasion, which will be ideal for social-media-savvy mums and plant lovers alike! 

9. Mother's Day Unlimited Afternoon Tea Buffet

Manchester’s five-star hotel The Lowry is hosting a bottomless afternoon tea this Mother’s Day, which will make her feel like a superstar. The Lowry’s afternoon tea is known to be one of Manchester’s finest. Now it’s getting an exclusive upgrade and you can enjoy unlimited cakes, sandwiches, desserts, scones and live entertainment from local artists Jack Buckley Duo playing upbeat acoustics as well as a magician to entertain little ones. This bottomless afternoon tea will be served in the Grand Ballroom for one day only to make Mother’s Day extra-extravagant. The bottomless Mother’s Day afternoon tea is priced at £39.95 each for adults and £15 for children, sittings are available between 12 – 4pm on Sunday 27 March. Each table will be given a two-hour period in which to enjoy the bottomless afternoon tea.
