Manchester Village Pride

Following the creation of the Manchester Village Pride CIC, it has been confirmed that the Summer Bank Holiday Weekend celebrations will return in 2026, and wristbands are now on sale via Skiddle.

Under the new direction of Manchester Village Pride CIC funds raised through the sale of wristbands and passes will enable safe delivery of the Summer Bank Holiday Weekend event, and will support LGBTQ+ charities, grassroots organisations, and vital community services. Any surplus funds will be legally locked in for public benefit and a “transparency dashboard” on the Manchester Village Pride CIC website will be updated regularly to show ticket sales, costs, and projected charitable surplus.

About Manchester Village Pride 2026

The Village will once again be the heart of the event, with businesses, performers, charities, activists, and residents shaping the programme together. Unused and under-used spaces will be activated to create opportunities for performances, talks, exhibitions, and community activity.

Sackville Gardens will return as a Community Showcase celebrating representation, culture, and grassroots voices, and will remain the protected home of the Pride Vigil — a central and respected moment of remembrance.

The Main Stage will showcase Manchester’s extraordinary LGBTQ+ talent, programmed to reflect the city’s diversity across gender identity, sexuality, race, disability, age and subculture.

The Manchester Village Pride Party will take place across the August Bank Holiday weekend, delivering four days of diverse programming that builds on Manchester Pride’s original style while increasing balance and representation on major stages.

Manchester’s Pride Parade will remain a true reflection of the city and its communities. Charities, grassroots organisations, and small community groups will not be charged to take part, ensuring accessibility and representation remain central. Commercial participation will help support delivery while protecting the parade’s community-led spirit.

The Dance Arena will celebrate queer club culture and Manchester’s LGBTQ+ nightlife, with late-night programming that prioritises safety, inclusivity, and joy, working with established club nights and partners such as Gaydio.

Monday will focus on reflection, family and community.

Sackville Gardens will host a revived Lifestyle and Community Expo, jointly programmed with LGBTQ+ charities and organisations, alongside the George House Trust Vigil. Monday will also become Family Day, celebrating LGBTQ+ parents and families in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Alongside the core programme within the Village, Manchester Village Pride will be supported by a vibrant Pride Fringe made up of LGBTQ+ arts, culture and nightlife events. Taking place in the weeks running up to Pride weekend and during the weekend itself, the fringe is created by arts organisations, independent LGBTQ+ promoters and venues across the city and includes the return of SCENE: Manchester LGBTQ+ Film & TV Festival for its third edition.
