Running an incredible 15-week season at Manchester Palace Theatre, the acclaimed, multi award-winning musical Hamilton has now opened. The revolutionary phenomenon about America’s Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton, is a dynamic blend of hip-hop, jazz, blues and Broadway and has won some of the most prestigious theatre awards, including 11 Tony Awards and 7 Olivier Awards. 3. Discover a mystical dining Christmas experience 
 

During the month of December, head to pan-Asian restaurant Australasia and discover an enchanting new Christmas experience. Transporting you to a wonderland of beautiful twinkling and sparkling lights, Enchantment by Australasia brings you a four-course menu of Pacific-rim cuisine. On selected nights, the Enchantment Experience will feature breathtaking performances. The Christmas Enchantment Menu starts from £55, or dive into the full experience from £75. 
 

4. Wander through this winter wonderland 
 

This stunning sky garden in the city centre has just become even more breathtaking. Until 1 January 2024, Castlefield Viaduct has transformed into a glittering grotto with their Lantern Lates light trail, running daily from 3.30pm to 5pm. After your tour of the gardens, step into the Cosy Corner at the visitor building and relax with boardgames, crafts or a good book. Admission is free. 
 

5. Experience the magic of pantomimes with Cinderella 
 

Bolton’s Albert Halls are ready to welcome one of the most beloved fairytales in the form of a family pantomime. Arriving at the venue on 1 December, Cinderella promises a magical experience “where dreams really do come true”. Presented by Polka Dot Pantomime, it will be running until 31 December with tickets starting from just £12. 
 

New opening: Diecast Winter Takeover 
 

Diecast, the former foundry and warehouse turned popular food and drink venue, has opened its newest phase to warm up the cold season. Winterhood has taken over the huge factory floor with a 50,000 ft beer hall and kitchen inspired by New York. In the menu you can expect sausage, steins and bagels alongside hot chocolate and mulled wine. You’ll also find their trailer park transformed for the winter and a new night market, as well as a karaoke corner-shop and live music.
