Looking for activities to keep the kids happy over the school break? Head down to Manchester’s Deansgate for a visit to the striking Grade 2 listed Great Northern Warehouse, where there are plenty of activities and tasty food outlets to keep everyone entertained with a full belly to boot.

If you’re looking to keep the older kids occupied this half-term, check out Great Northern’s new arrival Lane7. You’ll all love bowling in this atmospheric retro game spot surrounded by neon-bright walls, plus it would be rude not to visit Fat Hippo, Lane7’s onsite restaurant which offers kids the chance to build their own burger their way.

Whilst you are visiting, see if you can spot one of spooky inflatable #MCRMonsters. The colourful beasts on the monster trail are perched upon rooftops and hanging from buildings around the city from 25 to 31 October, so why not take the whole family and try to spot them all.

If the sun decides to make an appearance, make sure to take the little ones to Great Northern’s popular sandpit and playhouse. This is also a great excuse for a sit down and you could grab a treat from the delicious Alex’s Bakery. If the weather is against you, head inside for an afternoon tea or grab a box of their tasty treats to take home.

A great way to round off a visit is with a trip to the cinema. This half-term, Great Northern’s Odeon is showing The Addams Family 2, as well as the latest sci-fi hit, Dune. Harry Potter fans are in for a treat too with a screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on 29 October to celebrate the film’s 20th Anniversary.

With a mixture of restaurants offering lip-smacking dishes and exciting activities on offer at the city centre location, parents don’t need to look too far to keep the kids entertained.
