Manchester Pride is the city’s celebration of people. Taking place from Friday 22nd to Monday 25th August, the four-day celebration will spotlight queer excellence and community spirit with a stellar mix of live music, drag, DJs, cabaret, and takeovers from some of Manchester’s most exciting collectives. Manchester Pride will take its home in multiple destinations across the city; with the newly added for 2025 Mardi Gras event taking place in Mayfield depot and the iconic gay village party in the heart of the celebrations.
With so much happening including: the Gay Village Party, Mardi Gras, Manchester Pride Parade, Family Pride and the Candlelit Vigil; we’ve pulled together a handy guide of everything you need to know on the spectacle that is Manchester Pride.
The Manchester Pride Parade
- Date: Saturday 23rd August 2025
The Manchester Pride Parade will commence at midday on Saturday 23rd August, starting from Liverpool Road, navigating its path through the city centre via Deansgate, Peter Street, Oxford Road, Portland Street, Princess Street, Whitworth Street, and concluding at Fairfield Street around 15:00. The theme for this year’s Parade is ‘Love,’ embracing the transformative power of love.

Gay Village Party
- Date: Friday 22nd - Monday 25th August 2025
Co-created by Manchester Pride and Manchester’s queer communities, this event stands as the heartbeat of the festival. Alongside the new Mardi Gras event, the Gay Village Party presents an unforgettable line-up of LGBTQ+ performers and global icons in celebration of queer life and love across stages: The Alan Turing Stage and the Indoor Arena.
Samantha Mumba takes the spotlight alongside local heroes Fat Pride, Luke Lucent, and Daniela Corvea, Mischief, with Silent Disco keeping the beats going late into the night.
Belt out every word of “C’est la Vie” as B*Witched light up the stage! Joining the line-up is the sensational Diana Vickers, plus the high-energy Gaydio Dance Arena, the vibrant “Our Village” Showcase, and the empowering Youth Pride MCR.
All together now because “We Are Family”! Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge top a nostalgia-filled bill alongside Danny Beard, Gina Breeze, Angie Brown, Kurlz, Swagga, and Girls on Film.
The day also features Rave with Pride, Vanilla Takeover, Club Zindago, Ginny Lemon’s Dog Show, Moonchild Sanelly, Club Zindagi, Your Manchester Live with Belinda Scandal, Wildflowers, Kriss Herbert, Chris Blackmore, Paul Morrell, Alfie and a Silent Disco.

Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras is a brand-new addition to Manchester Pride 2025, running over Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August at Depot Mayfield (with proximity to Freight Island). A high-energy, high-glam, high-queer weekend filled with world-class artists, DJs, iconic drag royalty, electrifying cabaret, and untamed euphoria in celebration of LGBTQ+ culture. Remember your Gay Village Party pass is included for free within your Mardi Gras ticket, letting you enjoy the best of both worlds.
