Altrincham's Business Improvement District is thrilled to unveil the full programme for A Taste of Altrincham, a 10-day festival celebrating the town's vibrant food and drink scene. Taking place from Friday, 28th February, to Sunday, 9th March, this inaugural event, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and sponsored by Myerson Solicitors, promises a diverse array of culinary experiences and special offers for everyone to enjoy.
Food lovers are in for a treat, with an exciting line-up of hands-on masterclasses, tasting events, and interactive experiences. Ever wanted to perfect your sourdough? Join award-winning baker Aidan Monks from Lovingly Artisan for a Sourdough Masterclass. If seafood is more your style, watch Chef Robert Owen Brown from Cheshire Cookery School demonstrate the art of Cooking with Fish & Shellfish. Sushi enthusiasts can try their hand at rolling the perfect maki with Unagi or shake things up at a cocktail-making session at Memories Café Bar.
For those who crave something more indulgent, Blanchflower is hosting an exclusive Evening with Steak and Lobster, and wine lovers can savour a specially curated Wine and Cheese Night at Alibi. Pizza fans can master the craft at Nell’s Pizza, while foodies looking for an elegant experience can indulge in a collaborative Tasting Menu Event with Nina D and Rise & Grind.
But the festival isn’t just about eating and drinking - it’s about creativity too! Art meets gastronomy at the Sip and Paint event at Tre Ciccio with Moss Studio, and film buffs can enjoy a selection of Foodie Films at Everyman Altrincham. For a more hands-on experience, Sew Creative invites you to Sip and Stitch your own iconic Altrincham Shopping Bag.
Families and children are also well catered for, with Cook Stars and Cheshire Cookery School offering fun-filled workshops to inspire the next generation of chefs. For something truly unique, OYEZ Arts presents the ‘Creative Kitchen Orchestra,’ an interactive musical experience.
Not only this, but the Ultimate Altrincham Pudding Competition will also be taking place!
