1. Homobloc at Depot Mayfield

On Saturday 9 November, Homobloc will return to the mighty Depot Mayfield for its fifth edition. Building on the formula of the previous iterations, the legendary block party for all will bring artists, performers, spectators and clubbers together in a space where people can dance into their freedom, with its most dynamic line-up to date.

2. London Grammar at AO Arena

The English indie pop group that formed in Nottingham back in 2009, that brought the world hits like Strong and Wasting My Young Years are touring their latest album The Greatest Love this November. Bringing their iconic indie bangers to Manchester AO Arena on 12 November.

3. XG at O2 Victoria Warehouse

The wildly popular pop group XG head out on the European leg of their debut world tour XG 1st WORLD TOUR The first HOWL. An abbreviation of the aspirational name Xtraordinary Girls – XG strives to empower young people all over the world with their fresh, inventive music and performance. Playing their first show in Manchester at Victoria Warehouse on 18 November.

4. AKA Noel Galagher at Empire Rochdale

Enjoy the only Noel Gallagher tribute name-checked by Noel himself. Coming to Empire Rochdale on 16 November, AKA Noel Galagher will be bringing the Oasis legends solo hits as well as the band’s biggest tracks. Dance the night away with the DJ set that follows.

5. Paraorchestra at RNCM

Prepare for a mesmerising journey through sound as we bring Henryk Górecki’s transcendent Symphony of Sorrowful Songs to the Royal Northern College of Music – a profound meditation on loss, hope and human connection. Paraorchestra are reinventing the orchestra for the 21st century. With an ensemble of disabled and non-disabled professional musicians, they blend artforms, genres, and technology to create large-scale music projects that challenge ideas of what an orchestra can and should be. Coming to RNCM Concert Hall on 15 November.

6. Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra at Bridgewater Hall

Join the Bridgewater Hall for a rare UK visit from this top-tier German orchestra – with a trio of Romantic masterpieces. The newly installed Chief Conductor of the Halle, Kahchun Wong, previously directed the NSO. Playing at The Bridgewater Hall on 18 November.

7. Laurie Anderson’s ARK US V at Aviva Studios

In this epic new live show conceived by and featuring Laurie Anderson, the legendary multi-media artist asks: We’ve made the flood, but can we build an ark? Best known for her multimedia performances and poetic use of technology, Laurie Anderson is one of the world’s most pioneering creative artists. Their latest project Ark United States V will be shown at Aviva Studios 12 – 24 November.

8. Callum Beattie at Deaf Institute

Scottish independent artist Callum Beattie is coming to Deaf Institute on 16 November. After the success of his debut EP People Like Us, he’s bringing his new upcoming album Vandals to Manchester’s iconic Deaf Institute on 16 November.

9. She’s In Parties at Gullivers

She's In Parties are a hazy and ethereal quartet whose own idiosyncratic amalgamation of shoegaze and dream-pop belies their relatively young years, filling Gullivers with indie rock on 20 November.

10. Olive Jones at Band on the Wall

London-based singer, songwriter and guitarist, Olive Jones draws on soul, blues and alt-folk to produce her sumptuous melody driven music. Expect honey-drenched vocals, luscious production, beautiful harmony and songs that will stay with you long after you’ve listened. Coming to Band on the Wall on 18 November.
