The Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism is a global commitment that brings together destinations, tourism organisations and businesses to help reduce the impact of travel and tourism on the climate. It encourages organisations to measure their environmental impact, cut carbon emissions, support nature and communities, and work together towards a more sustainable future. 

As Greater Manchester's destination management organisation, Marketing Manchester is proud to be a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration. By signing up, we have committed to taking meaningful action to support climate goals and help make Greater Manchester a more sustainable destination for visitors, residents and businesses. 

Our Commitment

To help deliver these goals, we have developed a Climate Action Plan and a Sustainable Tourism Action Plan. Together, these plans set out how we will support a more sustainable, responsible and resilient visitor economy across Greater Manchester.
