Summer in Manchester is always an exciting time, and 2025 is shaping up to be unforgettable. With massive live gigs, next-level festivals, incredible food, and culture around every corner, there's so much to look forward to. If you're visiting Manchester this summer, or thinking of planning a trip, these are five standout experiences you absolutely can’t miss.

1. Live Music Events

Back to Top of List

Manchester knows music, and this summer it's turning up the volume with a packed line up of iconic shows, outdoor gigs, and local festivals you’ll want to mark on your calendar.

The biggest music event has to be Oasis coming back to their home turf, headlining five huge nights at Heaton Park - an unmissable homecoming for fans. If live music is your thing, Sounds of the City at Castlefield Bowl is a summer staple, bringing big names like Elbow, Basement Jaxx, and Rizzle Kicks to the heart of the city in a laid-back, open-air setting. For something a little different, Festwich offers full-on festival vibes and top-tier tribute acts in nearby Prestwich, rounding out a season of music that only Manchester could deliver.
