Discover the best LGBTQ+ events happening this summer in Manchester!

Manchester Pride returns this August, bringing 10 days of events celebrating LGBTQ+ life, culture, and equality. Organised by the Manchester Pride charity, the festival champions LGBTQ+ rights and supports community wellbeing through its events and Community Grants Programme. By amplifying voices, showcasing diverse talent, and funding grassroots initiatives, Manchester Pride empowers LGBTQ+ people across Greater Manchester to thrive.

One of the biggest additions this year is Mardi Gras - a brand new, high-energy takeover of Depot Mayfield and Freight Island during the Bank Holiday Weekend. Expect two days packed with world-class artists, DJs, drag royalty, cabaret, and pure queer joy. It’s a bold, unapologetic celebration of LGBTQ+ culture and Pride like you’ve never seen it before.

At the heart of it all is the Gay Village Party, a four-day celebration rooted in love, community, and queer joy. Set in Manchester’s iconic Gay Village, the party features everything from cabaret and funfair rides to a silent disco and non-stop queer anthems.

And of course, The Love Parade will once again take to the streets - stopping the city in its tracks to shine a spotlight on love and acceptance.

The festival wraps up with a powerful moment of reflection in Sackville Gardens, where the glow of hundreds of candles brings the community together to remember, honour, and look ahead.

Greater Manchester Pride

Beyond the city centre, LGBTQ+ events take place throughout Greater Manchester —celebrating identity, community, and culture in local spaces. Whether it’s in Salford, Stockport or Bury each event reflects the unique energy of its local community while celebrating the shared values of pride, visibility, and connection. Bolton Pride and Wigan Pride are also celebrating huge milestones — their 10th anniversary! To mark the occasion, they’re hosting a feel-good weekends packed with love and community. And the best part? Both events are free to enjoy!

These events play a vital role in amplifying LGBTQ+ voices across the region and ensuring that Pride is felt in every corner of Greater Manchester.
