Top Music Festivals in Manchester 2026

Back to Top of List

In the year that the BRITs and MOBOs head to the city, Manchester’s live music calendar is packed in 2026, with major festivals, open-air concerts and late-night club series bringing huge artists and new talent to venues across the city and boroughs.

Parklife and The Warehouse Project

Parklife Festival returns to Heaton Park with one of its most ambitious programmes yet. Headliners including Calvin Harris, Skepta, Sammy Virji and Zara Larsson lead a bill that spans electronic, grime, pop and club music. The new PANORAMA Stage adds a redesigned multi-level space with full LED production, giving performances a bigger visual edge.

Later in the year, The Warehouse Project picks up where festival season leaves off. Running from September to January, the series transforms its industrial venue into club spaces hosting some of the most influential names in electronic music.

Sounds of the City

Sounds of the City returns to Castlefield Bowl, pairing established acts with newer indie and alternative artists. With names like Johnny Marr and The K's on the bill, the series offers open-air shows in one of Manchester’s most distinctive settings.

BBC Radio 6 Music Festival

The BBC Radio 6 Music Festival also brings a multi-venue programme to the city, with performances at respected spaces including Band on the Wall and YES. Its mix of established artists and emerging talent reflects the strength of Manchester’s grassroots scene.

Sounds From The Other City

Sounds From The Other City returns to Salford for its 21st year, taking over multiple venues with a focus on forward-thinking and independent artists. It remains one of the best places to discover what’s next.

Live from Wythenshawe Park

Meanwhile, summer headline shows at Wythenshawe Park bring major touring acts outdoors. Performances from The Cure, Lewis Capaldi, Courteeners and The Prodigy highlight the scale and variety of Manchester’s summer programme.

Manchester Pride

Back to Top of List

The Manchester Pride Festival is one of the biggest LGBTQ+ events in Manchester, attracting thousands of people to the city's streets every year. As part of the global Pride movement, it celebrates LGBTQ+ equality, culture, and expression, while challenging discrimination. The festival fills Manchester with parades, live music, and community events, bringing together every borough in a vibrant, city-wide celebration of diversity and inclusion.

Following the creation of the Manchester Village Pride CIC, it has been confirmed that the Summer Bank Holiday Weekend celebrations will return in 2026, and wristbands are now on sale via Skiddle.

Outside of Manchester Village Pride, across Manchester’s boroughs, at different times of the year, each community brings its own unique celebration of Pride. From Salford’s Pink Picnic to the welcoming atmosphere of Prestwich Pride, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Keep an eye on upcoming events across the city and be part of the celebrations as Pride brings people together in every corner of Manchester.
